As you probably noticed today, the RPM Hide&Seek server is offline. We think all players of our community have the right to know what happened: Well, first of all, I made a big, big mistake. Two days ago, Wonder needed some help with our Pirates server (the team I made with Naughty). He needed a stone object, which Charlie made in RPM Hide&Seek server. After some talking I could enter the FTP of RPM Hide&Seek. Though, since I'm not having much experience with FTP's, I accidently gave the FTP link path to Wonder (I tried to drag the mp_shop.ent file into the conversation with Wonder) which made the FTP link visible... Well, to make a long story short: One day later, Charlie made a new rule: "Only 1 H&S team allowed."
This meant that I had to decide: My own, 1-month old Pirates team, or The Adminteam where I've been in since December 2007. I decided to stick to The Adminteam - this made Wonder and his homies (Benj, JokeR, Fokie, IrishRebel) real mad. I forgot Wonder still had the FTP acces, well, you can guess what... Wonder deleted the whole FTP and crashed the server by /rcon killserver.cfg. This is it... Please people, don't shoot me. I realize now how fucking stupid I've been by believing in, and helping Wonder. Now we're trying to get the server running again as soon as possible, I'm hitting the phone tomorrow to give 2k3 a call. They'll definetly have some backups of our server.  - Mario

Yepp, and for everyone to know... this may be more complicated then how Mario explained it but i understand it wasn't really how he wanted things to be. It already happened now and there is nothing we can do for the moment. Bram or Max has back-ups for our server, and will restore it within a few days. I've sent them an email because they are not reachable throughout MSN or in-game. [SC]Mario is a fine member, he never done any mistake like this before... and what can i say. What will happen? Mario paid 20 euros to renew server, for FTP exchange and those money will still go to the server, but he lost his FTP access from now on, i will keep it for myself. He will not be kicked out, and I'm sure we all still want him to be Co-leader |

Bram restores the server tonight as he gets back home, not sure if he can back-up our server.cfg so i'll have to make a new one... but my .ent files were saved on desktop. |
