We could make the rounds much longer, so that almost all rounds are ended because all humans are killed. Personally I like this: zombies have to use teamwork in order to kill all humans (because the round won't end otherwise).
Remember that players who connect during the round don't have to wait for a new round -- I'll make sure that they can enter the zombie team.
So what are your thoughts? Should rounds be very long (say, 10 minutes)? Are there any downsides in making the rounds so long?

A round 10 minutes? wow thats to much. I think each round 4/5 minutes should be fine and timelimit each map 20.

I like short rounds, but not too short, I might add an extra minute for some maps that are hard for zombies (like mp_col1).

map dependant as slizer said. hk1 seemed fine with current timelimit, pra needs extra minute or two.

I added an extra minute to mp_col1 and mp_shop. If any other map needs an extra minute, please be at least 2-3 people to agree on it.

It shouldn't be impossible for hiders to survive... Remember that this isn't H&S. I've talked to some guy (don't recall his name) who made this gametype for GTA. His rounds would take as much as 30 minutes, which made me realize that the rounds can be much longer (and almost always end if the full human team is eliminated). I don't see why surviving should be possible, or why it is more fun than a full team massacre. I mean, having just one human chased by lots of zombies is hilarious right? It could happen each round.

We could actually try longer rounds, but before we make the rounds longer we need to change a couple of things so the game play is adapted to this.

So I think that increasing the round time will increase the fun! Perhaps minute or two. I never played gta zombie mod, but havin played most of the GTAs, I know that mapsize is HUGE compared to sof2. Even if you were to play one state/city in gta, it would be still mcuh bigger than almost any sof2 map. Yesterday I increased the round time limit for a few rounds. Everyone seemed to like it. I am not aware of any downsides.
Like Carl said, before increasing the round time limit some changes must be made to the mod. The most important being that the zombie team is unlocked, so that players who connect don't have to wait 10 minutes until the round is ended.
Please discuss powerups in the appropriate thread.
