I joined one of the servers the other day (for the first time) and I found out quickly that I have no idea how to play this gametype. Do you have a thread or tutorial on how Hide & Seek is played? I would like to learn. I took a quick glance in the forums and didn't see anything. Thanks.

I will try to give you a short summary of how to play Hide&Seek. (I btw don't think C-Bitch will allow you getting addicted to H&S) Hiders: Hiders need to find a spot in the map, or can just run around. They can do whatever they want, except trying to kill seekers. They can only stun them, which holds them for 4 seconds and adds a throwing knife. Seekers: Seekers simply need to kill all hiders before the 4:30 minutes time runs out. Additional Things: RPG: The survivor(s) of the previous round gets an RPG. With this item equipped, your running speed is boosted a bit. You can also boost yourself with it, simply look down and shoot. M4: The second survivor of the previous round gets the M4. You can fire a cage with it to trap seekers, by pressing the right mouse button. The left button can stun a seeker. MM1: This weapon is given to the seekers that first hits, or kills a hider. When equipped, your gravity is boosted so you can jump higher. You can also fire 3 grenades, that shoots fire nades to slow down hiders (mostly used to catch the RPG runner). Hopes this cleares it a bit up for you... Have fun playing

If you survive a round as a hider by running with RPG for the whole time, you're supposed to tell everyone how you "owned" the seekers and keep spamming "ownt" "eunt" etc.

OK, I understand a bit more but let me tell you exactly how I played a few rounds, with some questions: 1) I was definately a seeker armed in the 1st round with only a knife. It took a while before I was released to find the hiders. What exactly is the delay in the begining? 2) I ran accross the map and I found other people frozen on top of the walls. Were those the hiders? If so what is the procedure of them being released? 3) I killed one hider with the knife. In the next round I received two different types of grenades. The damage didn't seem too strong for the grenades. Anything I should know about the damage? Also, if I was a hider what do you recommend as a good strategy? What would you also recommend as a good straegy for a seeker?

1). Just like in real life hide and seek, theres a 30 second delay for the hiders to go run and find a good hiding spot or do some boosts with other hiders . Some people actually use that time to go to the seeker spawn point and stun them for fun ect. 2).I dont know what you mean by "frozen" but at 5:00 the hiders are released. As a hider, you can go find a hiding spot anywhere in the map and going up the glitches and boosting at spots and this is not against any rules. 3).You killing a hider with a knife before the next round dosnt really matter because once the round ends, a new one starts, well i guess it would only make your kill number go up but wont enable special privileges for the next round. Bout the grenades. When you start on the seeker team at the beginning of the round (meaning you dont switch to seeker team at lets say 2:20) you will receive 2 types of grenades. 1 you can select from your inventory (fire nade, smoke, flash,Smoh) and the other is a grenade that can make boxes. With that nade you can boost your self up to 2 person boost spots. Im not sure as to what you mean about the damage. Heres a few hider strategy's i know and maybe mario has others but theres Camp - Find a good spot, camp it out and wait for the seeker then as they try to come for you and you know that in 2 sec or less that they will get you, you run and jump over em if your up high like on top of a tower in col . Runner -Can consist of many things but mostly these are the people who run up to the seeker at the beginning and stun and hang around till round starts. Then they book it right with the seeker behind and its quite fun Seekers Im not too sure for a strategy but team work with other seekers is key and just knowing the normal spots of people and taking a tour of the map till you see some people.

H&S Quick Commands:
- #M = Tells you who carries the MM1. - #R = ...RPG. - #C = ...M4 Rifle.
- #E = Tells you who is the nearest Enemy. - #N = Tells you what map comes next (nextmap).

Run away from seekers, trick them, stun them, annoy them by throwing nades (flash/smoke), blast them away by exploding a frag grenade in your hand etc.) 3. You're not able to damage someone with a nade (only if you throw a lot of fire nades). You should pick a strategy for yourself. I don't like camping myself, it's real boring. I really like stunning and 'playing' with the seekers, just owning them and stay alive as long as possible.
