Because it's somehow easier to catch up with the hider who's trying to escape by jumping and stuff...
Try to compete with a hider by just running from 1 point to another and you'll see Seekers ain't faster.

The speed of seekers is the same as the speed of hiders. Seekers appear to run faster: this can be proved by the Pythagorean theorem.

Seekers run faster than you, Ethias, because you're horrible in running.

seekers have an advantage because they see where the hider is going to. they can take very little shortcuts and win time with it

seekers have an advantage because they see where the hider is going to. they can take very little shortcuts and win time with it True, but also... the thing is, when hiders are running they have to quickly decide what way to go and what shortcuts to take... the seeker doesn't have to think as much as the hider for that matter because the seeker behind is just following the hiders path. It may look like seekers are faster but it's just because seekers can catch up easier. It makes perfect sense. Besides, the speed IS technically the same, 300, for both teams. And there is no speedhack in sof2 as in Counter Strike

Normal: 300 RPG: 350 MM1: Same speed, but lower gravity... I think it's 700-750 (Normal = 800)
